Apparently you have some questions about our wedding, so we googled how to make a wedding website and what to put on it!!
Coffee with a hint of Tehran. We (ok, Jonas) miss Kookoo soo bad, since we moved neighborhoods. Don't leave without trying the Iranian affogato!
St Gillesians know that this is THE best place for brunch/lunch, with amazing seasonal dishes. Pick out your new favorite olive oil or hot sauce, before you leave. Walking distance from KooKoo, the Horta museum and the bustling Chatelain area (real fans go to Cafe Union).
Perfect for a recovery stroll through on "the day after". First date of Eva and Jonas. And no, we also didn't understand half of the artwork.
POPCORN ALLOWED, in this non-pretentious landmark cinema, in the center of Brussels. Don't forget to stop for a piece of Neuhaus chocolate on the way in!
Best. bread. and. croissants. That's all.
Try one of the 70 (!) different styles of mussels in this comic-themed Brussels staple. Bonus: you have a chance of running into the bride and groom, who live in the neighborhood!
Peak Horta. Don't miss out on this palace... by booking in advance! Tours take about 30 minutes.
Kras Mat Creperie - beautiful location, art nouveau interior (or art deco?) and delicious galettes - perfect for lunch or dinner!
Billie (or as locals say: the Monk) - iconic cafe in the centre. If you walk towards the back, you will find the best cafe-spaghetti imaginable.
Noordzee - seafood during the day! Very lively and very good garnaalkroketten
Chicago - best for big group brunch, if you can find your way through the playing toddlers. If not: try Chicago's trattoria, a bit further down - PIZZA!
Le Dillens - This cafe has everything: breakfast, lunch or... oysters. Lovely terrace, lovelier French toast. Just in case you're still hungry, after going through this whole list.
Humus x Hortense - If you want to rock being vegetarian... but also have some money to spend. First fancy dinner date of Eva and Jonas!
Le 1030
Bar Beton
Midpoint (only if you are Jonas)
Le petit canon
Calmos
Café La pompe
Everything on Chatelain
Le One and Only Parvis
Eva loves nothing more than sitting in a coffee place to read or write. These are some of her favorites:
Noir cafe - you have to travel to Leuven, but it is our absolute favorite coffee place in the world. Murielle en Kris cannot make it to our wedding so if you visit Leuven, go taste their coffee, enjoy it very much and tell them how disappointed we are that they ditched us.
Stella coffee - the owner of Stella shared his story with UNHCR Belgium (which you can read here)! Also, he has the cutest dog. Also, he is very hot (respectfully).
La laiterie: dreamy location in Josaphat park. Sit outside and listen to Belgium’s wide variety of birds (whole total of 3 different species)
Winok: very cosy and gorgeous big windows. Don’t eat their croissants though, they are gross.
